A Jumper is a small electronic component used to connect, disconnect, or redirect electrical signals within a circuit. It is commonly used on printed circuit boards (PCBs), development boards, and electronic modules to configure settings, select operating modes, or create temporary electrical connections.

Jumpers are typically used with header pins and consist of a conductive metal contact enclosed in a plastic housing. By placing or removing the jumper cap across pins, users can easily open or close a circuit without soldering, making it ideal for testing, configuration, and prototyping.
